Comparethemarket need no introduction. Their success has been founded upon a well-established in-house talent and HR team, based in Peterborough.
Due to their location, Comparethemarket knew that they needed to tap in to London’s explosive tech scene to attract the talent they needed to match their growth aspirations.
We were challenged to use our experience, reputation and expertise to help Comparethemarket’s internal teams find exceptional talent, and build a brand new engineering hub in central London.

Our Solution
Building a new team in a new location is no mean task.
To succeed we knew that understanding was key. We fully immersed ourselves in the new office and embedded ourselves within Comparethemarket.com’s existing talent team to fully understand their business, culture, and the caliber of candidates required.
In order to attract top-talent in an incredibly competitive market, we knew that we had to help enhance and establish Comparethemarket's reputation as a tech employer in London.

The Results
We directly employed 15 engineers in our first 4 months. The quality of our candidates meant that we were instantly asked back for another 3-month stint, where we placed a further 10 exceptional engineers.But we didn’t stop there.
- Designed the interview & hiring process to assist less experienced internal hiring managers and ensure an exceptional candidate experience for the future.
- Improved brand awareness by attending/ holding tech events to increase their overall visibility and reputation in the tech community.
- Put in place strong relationships with non-profits and other tech industry bodies to help enhance brand reputation and build a diverse portfolio of candidates.
- Training & Onboarding of new employees.
